Azariah Ephraim is a pilot for the elite military organization PRIDE. He is a member of Marqius De Coldheaven's squadron. Committed and Professional, Azariah is considered a model soldier by his peers, and would undoubtedly be a leader of his own team if he had not turned down any further promotion beyond his rank of Airman, not wanting to leave the squadron in which he has formed many close bonds with fellow pilots. Azariah's aircraft is a production-model F-37 Soryu.

Azariah's first contact with PRIDE was at the age of twelve, after his parents had been murdered by Astros Mordechai. Though PRIDE does not recruit child soldiers for moral reasons, he was able to gain access to the PRIDE Cadet Forces, after a letter of recommendation from Earl Da Coldheaven, Marqius's older brother, and member of PRIDE special duty corps RISEN. At 16, Azariah joined PRIDE with the rank of Airman, and a request was made by Marqius De Coldheaven for Azariah to be inducted into his squad, apparently following a five-minute telephone call with Earl Da Coldheaven. Marqius has never disclosed what was discussed during the call.

Azariah is confident, and does not rely on the validation of others. However, he is modest, open to criticism, and capable of taking blame. He is quiet but not withdrawn, and does not allow his emotions to cloud his judgment, whilst still taking them into account. He is extremely dedicated to his duties as a PRIDE pilot, often spending his free time logging flight simulation hours. His hobbies include model-making and reading; two of the personal possessions on display in the quarters he shares with fellow pilot Iris Spiel are a model of the F-26 Ayanami, and a copy of LOVELESS, the latter of which he has still not finished despite owning for three years, and which now serves as a permanent bedside table ornament. He also owns a kit of the F-37 Soryu, gifted to him by Iris on his birthday, but he has not yet found the time to begin assembling it.

Iris is Azariah's roommate, and whilst he gets along very well with the rest of his squadron, she is the only person Azariah truly considers a friend. The two are rarely seen out of one another's company; even when Azariah is in a VR simulation, Iris will be sitting outside, watching Ike Harimata flicks on her phone, whilst trying to think of ways to sell them to Azariah as viable forms of entertainment. Her outgoing personality serves as a continual motivator for him to come out of his shell, and with increasing occurrence Azariah has been known to turn up to the squadron's movie nights, with Iris's arm wrapped around his. She has still not been able to convince him to wear something other than his uniform when off duty, though.

Azariah is of Arabic descent, with tanned skin and black hair, which falls to his neck, save for the back which is tied into a loose ponytail. He has reddish-purple eyes, and a handsome face leaning more towards the feminine ideal of beauty exhibited by Marqius de Coldheaven, rather than the more traditionally handsome appearances of some of PRIDE's older male pilots. Other than his PRIDE uniform, Azariah also wears a fingerless glove on his right hand; this covers a mysteriousblack mark on the back of his hand.

This fighter jet is used by Azariah Ephraim, though he does not own it. He has logged hundreds of hours of simulation time with it, as well as many successful sorties.
